Week of 3/12 - 3/16

The past few weeks in ISM I have been able to finalize all the paperwork needed to enter the observer program at children's medical center. Last week all my information was submitted and approved my the hospital. With this badge I will be able to shadow my mentor, Dr. Callan, as she works with patients and in the operating room. I am extremely excited for this opportunity and all the experience that I will gain. I know all the information I gain which shadowing will be more valuable than any high school class. This experience I will be able to take with me to college and beyond in the future. This upcoming week I will contact Dr. Callan regarding our next mentor visit. I hope to meet again in the near future. As for planning for the final product, I am gathering all my new research and understanding to update Dr. Callan on all the new information I have learned, and we build on from this point. During our next mentor visit, along with the experience of being there, I hope to begin working on my final product. The information and data I collect on these mentor visits are crucial for the production of my final product.
