Through the Independent Study and Mentorship program, I hope to gain real-world experience in a professional setting, improve my speaking skills, and gain a better understanding of the pediatric oncology field. Through my mentor, I will learn how professionals in this field work on a daily basis, thus giving me an opportunity to better choose a career path that will interest me in the future. I hope to challenge myself in all aspects of the program while attaining the skills necessary to begin a pediatric oncology career path.
