Week of 11/6-11/10

This part week in ISM I used my time to organize and plan for the upcoming week. I have spent my time emailing professors at doctors hoping to schedule 2 more informational interviews. I also spent time preparing for my research speech this week. In this speech I will showcase all the research I have do tus far and how it has impacted me. I plan to use all the information I used in my first introduction speech, to make my research speech better. Throughout this year I feel that my professional speaking skills have improved and I beginning to see the importance of having this skill, and being comfortable speaking in front of a crowd. The experience that I have gained with this first speech, has built my confidence and has given me an idea of both my strengths and weaknesses in public speaking. On the speech I will give this week, I will focus on trying to slow down the pace of my speaking and make more eye contact with the audience. This upcoming week I will also continue to reach out to more professionals in hopes of scheduling more informational interview, with the goal of finding a mentor.
