Week of 10/2-10/6

This past week in ISM I had the opportunity to go to the Frisco ISD Business Symposium where I able to meet and interview with several professionals in all different career fields. I was able to interview with a pediatric chiropractor, Dr. Dasha Ilushin, an educational consultant, Ravi Lothumalla, and a chemical engineer, Vijay Devarakonda. I was able to gain valuable information from all 3 professionals, despite the fact they all came from different career fields. By my 3rd interview I had gained confidence and was comfortable with the interview process. Through the feedback sheets, I also learned I could improve on on my posture while speaking by not popping my fingers or neck while speaking. In addition, after the interviews I was also told I had good eye contact. The feedback I gained through these interviews was extremely valuable as nervous habits are sometimes hard to identify on your own. I will use the criticism I received to improve myself and my professional skills in the future. This upcoming week in ISM I have an informational interview scheduled with Dr. Cristyn Bransetter. I am excited to apply the skills I gained through the business symposium in my upcoming interview.
