Week of 1/8 - 1/12

Over the past week in ISM I have been preparing for the research showcase that will take place this Wednesday. I have spend several hours organizing, and setting up my display board for the showcase. I am excited for the way it has turned out and I look forward to showing off all the hard work I have put into my project and ISM as a whole thus far. I learned about the importance of making my display board look neat and organized as it bring credibility to my work. I have also finished putting together my research portfolio which I will also display this week at the research showcase. I am looking forward to seeing all my friends and family at the showcase, and i am excited to present my project. After this week I hope to get into contact with my mentor and hopefully schedule my first mentor visit. I am excited to shadow Dr. Callan and learn about what she does on an everyday basis. Overall the past week has been very productive, and I am looking forward to the opportunity and experience no only the showcase will bring, but the rest of my mentorship with Dr. Callan.
