Week of 1/15 - 1/19

This past week in ISM I had the opportunity to display my original work and research at ISM research showcase. The showcase displayed all the projects of FISD ISM students for the first semester of the 2017-2018 school year. I was able to learn about whats its like to present both my research and myself professionally. At the research showcase I was able to show all my friends and family, and other attendees all the hard work I have put into the ISM program. In addition I was able to see all the other projects and displays from students at other Frisco schools. I was very impressed with all the work and professional nature of the event. I was interesting to see all the topics that were being researched in the program. A few that stuck out were, urban planning, and computer animation, and baking. I am very proud of my accomplishments thus far, and I am hoping to use to knowledge I gained through the research showcase in the future as I create my final product. This upcoming week I am hoping to schedule my first mentor visit with my mentor. I cant wait to see what opportunities this mentorship will bring to me.
